Floating.

This is what I have been up to. It has consumed all of my time, sapped all of my energy, and haunted my every thought and dream for the past week. It looked better in person. It looked better on a nikon camera. Oh well...
I pulled out my camera enthusiastically only to see that not even a low battery warning light would come on. It was so low it was dead. Of all days to be dead!!! I worked for hours for this moment. All hail to the iPhone. Cash rode in the Fourth of July float, that my Dad came up with and we worked on together. I bit off more than I could chew. I will remember for next year to start planning tomorrow. Seriously. It's serious business.

Cash had a mike that he had two lines to say into, "Cash Hatch here, wishing you a Happy Fourth of July!" and "Cash Hatch here, I won't lose a deal over a dollar!"
He was hot. He was wearing a leather bomber with flight goggles. He did awesome.
I walked along side and passed out candy, hats, chap stick, shirts, and tow hitch covers all before we were even half way to the end of the parade. I couldn't say no. I will remember next year to be a bit more frugal and bring a lot more candy. Who knew that many people actually come up the mountain to see our parade?

I couldn't have been happier to be in the parade, although if you saw me before, during or after, you wouldn't have known it. I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free...Oh wait I didn't make that up. I am proud to be an American though. I am proud of my country and for the most part what it stands for. I am blessed to be living the American Dream in small town U.S.A. and if all I have to do is make floats once a year in between staying home with the children, I'll take it. And I will be dang happy about it too.

P.S. Thanks Jace Baum for the nice truck. Everyone wants to know if it's for sale?
