Aloha.

These pictures are in no particular order, but this past week we were blessed enough to get to spend a week in Oahu, Hawaii with the whole family, minus one sister and her family who is in the process of moving. It was...well just take a look.
Lets just call them Wild Things and send them to bed with out their supper.
Sunset at Sunset Beach.

Para sailing in Waikiki. It looked like someone had put food coloring in the water. Absolutely beautiful.

Another sunset picture at sunset beach.

Watching this boy swallow salt water looked like torture but he could have let those waves push him out to sea and back to beach all day, if I wouldn't have been so frightened by how little control he had against those big waves.

It seemed she would cry and cry to go to the beach but fall asleep when we got there almost every day.

Cash doesn't like any one more than his cousins. I don't know if we said more than ten words to each other the whole week.

Getting ready for para sailing.

At Pearl Harbor, we made some new friends who fit right in. They look like they were a part of our group except the guy next to Sailor is 36 pounds, eighteen months and his brother who is next to him is 34 pounds 3 years old. It was a fluke that we got them all to sit for one second.

Polynesian Cultural Center after being there all afternoon. Getting ready to go to the big show and Sailors attitude is getting nasty.

Earlier at the Polynesian Cultural Center we found the only mister in the whole place and Sailor stayed there for the whole Hawaii presentation running through it.

After her cool down.

At Pearl Harbor we saw this big Aircraft Carrier parked at the harbor just South of us. It was huge and I thought it was cool enough to get some pictures with, only to find out that it was the one and only USS Carl Vinson. This carrier picked up the Navy Seals who killed Bin Laden and Bin Ladens body. It was the one to bury him at sea.
Supposedly his body is not too far from Hawaii, says one sister who spoke to one of the soldiers aboard.

Not two minutes after this picture was taken Sailor was stung by a jelly fish multiple times on her little leg. She was such a champ about it and only cried for a few minutes. Then just kept saying "hurts bad" and "jelly got me."

A dancing game and Wii were brought and it had the whole house going.

Cash has a book about Matsumotos and we didn't even know it was a real place.
Shaved ice with ice cream in it is the thing to eat in Hawaii, as well as Ted's Bakery every single day.

Model pose at PCC.

Waimea Valley was one of the most pretty places in Oahu.

We walked a mile and saw things like this...

and this...

and this...

but this was the best part. This fresh water, water fall was like dream at the end of a hot sticky hike. And a lovely break from the salty water of the ocean. I could have swam in that cold fresh water with my kids all day.

Chaz tried surfing. I tried paddle boarding. A life guard had to get on his loud speaker and tell me that if I needed help to wave my oar. I couldn't hear him I was so far out, but if I would have heard him, I would have waved. Chaz did so well at surfing he thinks that if he lived my an ocean he would be a pro??

The Bros-in-Law being goofy on our last night.

All in all it was really fun. The Walkers were robbed on the second to last day which really made their trip crappy. Everything was stolen. Her wallet and all the money and credit cards they had for the trip, iphone, purse, keys, etc. Mauriah had the find my iphone app and they tracked the guy down but only got the phone back. Jerry was offered a job with the Honolulu Police Department.
Two children got stung by jelly fish but we had pastries and shaved ice to boot everyday, lots of rain, but enough sunshine and beach bumming, a red eye flight home, and I'm going kidless with Chaz again on Monday. WHA?????

P.S. The Wallow Fire is too close for comfort and revisit to Rodeo-Chediski. I am horrified to see that beautiful land we love to visit being destroyed and all those people evacuated because they might lose their homes. I can only pray that it rains, the wind stops and the fire fighters can do their job safely and effectively.

Next time can I come...puhlease! I'm sure Mike and Kim wouldn't mind another daughter to tag along ;)

All the pictures are beautiful. I wanna try that parasailing some time. Is it scary?

Glad your back safe and sound. I'm praying hard that the wind stops and rain comes pouring down on the white mountains. Too sad to hear and see all the pictures of the fire burning all that wonderful land :(

Love always, Am

I think that's so neat you all went to Hawaii, I've been telling my parents I want to do that trip together and they just thought I was crazy! Glad to see you guys making some fun family memories. Apparently the Seymore's are just boring or at least Dan and Bec are! ha!
